Fans of legendary percussion equipment can look forward to the ‘Vintage Drum Show’ at the Musikmesse Plaza. The organisers of the ‘Vintage & Custom Drum Meeting’ are bringing their gems from the twenties to seventies to Frankfurt (parallel to their ‘Vintage Drum Meeting’ in Mörfelden-Walldorf). The gems include, for example, original drum sets made by Germany’s Trixon company and other drum makers, as well as vintage German snare drums from manufacturers such as Dresdener Apparatebau, Gustav Poschardt and Sonor. Some of the rare pieces will be available for sale. Additionally, Germany’s drum customizer, ST-Drums, will be showing everything needed to make individual drums. Rounding off the Vintage Drum Show will be information sessions with the organisers of the Vintage Drum Meeting.

‘Poster-O-Rama’ and ‘posterkrauts.de’ present the first grand gig-poster exhibition at the Musikmesse Plaza in Frankfurt.
Mostly screen printed by hand, gig-posters are limited collectors’ items for a specific concert or tour. They are a blend of ‘fine arts’ and official merchandise. Hence, gig-posters are not pasted on hoardings or pillars like conventional concert posters but sold to the audience on the evening of the concert.
Bands such as Queens of the Stone Age, MGMT, Interpol, Tame Impala, etc., have recognised the value of this non-downloadable souvenir of a concert experience.
‘Poster-O-Rama’ shows the work of more than 30 of the best poster artists from all over Europe.
Additionally, ‘posterkrauts.de’ brings together a selection of the best German artists who will present their posters personally at Musikmesse Plaza: Antighost (Mannheim), Lars P. Krause (Dresden), Simon Marchner (Munich), Rainbow (Leipzig), Señor Burns (Munic) and Spiegelsaal (Hamburg/Düsseldorf).
All poster can be purchased during the exhibition.

Clothed fittingly in gold and silk, the band has been wandering through the marquees of local music events since the late summer of 2014 and, after solely playing improvised jams, advanced rapidly to become an insiders’ tip for live music.

In the 25 years since being founded, the band has made hundreds of appearances distinguished by a delight in playing and a great stage presence at a variety of venues – clubs, festivals, radio and television – as well as together with artists such as Grace Jones, Jethro Tull, Extrabreit, Paul Young, Polarkreis 18, Juli, Tom Beck, the Rodgau Monotones, 2Raumwohnung.
