Hamburg-born artist Ole Ohlendorff (*1958) is showing a representative cross section of his portraits of musicians. In cooperation with Hamburg’s No.1 Guitar Centre, you will have the opportunity to see selected works from the DEAD ROCK HEADS series, a painted homage to deceased musicians from the worlds of rock, pop, beat, blues, soul, reggae, jazz, punk, etc.
Ole Ohlendorff has been working on this unique series of paintings since 1996. So far, he has produced 147 works, which have been shown at exhibitions throughout Germany, e.g., at Burg Herzberg Hippie Festival, Popkomm Berlin, W:O:A Wacken Festival, Rolling Stones Fan Museum in Lüchow (Wendland), Reeperbahnfestival Hamburg and the German Rock & Pop Museum in Gronau.
You will also have the chance to learn more about the artist and his work at first hand. In a ‘Rock & roll chat’, Ole Ohlendorff will discuss his works with insights, anecdotes and stories … in other words, an extraordinary musical and pictorial journey in time covering more than 50 years of rock & roll history.
